A warm and inviting castle

The castle of Fredrikshov has served many purposes through the years; inn, military barracks, castle (of course, since slott means castle) and since 1994 – a school. It is a special building, with a very special history. For us who work here it is very important to respect and take good care of our unique workplace.

We view and appreciate the uniqueness of each student in the same way and we encourage them to show the same respect towards each other. Every day we warm up the old castle by showing concern, helping each other through tough times and inviting everyone to be themselves.

As a student at Fredrikshov you are allowed to both stand out, be yourself and be part of a warm and inviting community. At the same time, we have high aspirations for you; we expect you to do your best each and every day and work hard to reach your goals. In return we will give you all the support and tools you need to become the best possible version of yourself.

The best school in Sweden

When we started Fredrikshovs slotts skola we had the ambition to become the best school in Sweden. 20 years later we had reached our goal – since 2014 our graduating students have had one of the highest average merit ratings in the country.

We want you as a student to experience that same journey during your time with us. The day you receive your final grades we want you to leave our school feeling like anything is possible and like you can achieve anything you want in life.

At Fredrikshov you will share a classroom with the best students and teachers in Sweden. We provide an environment where you will be able to achieve your goals and reach your full potential. And you are welcome just the way you are.

“A typical student at Fredrikshov is happy, independent, curious about learning and has great self-confidence. A student at Fredrikshov is also a nice friend that takes care of their school mates.”

Ingrid Berggren, ex chairwoman of the foundation Carpe Diem, the school’s highest decision-making authority.
